Art Court Display Showcases Work By People With Disabilities

The Dane County Regional Airport is proud to display the Waisman Center's International Collection of Art by People with Developmental Disabilities in the airport's Art Court. This collection is maintained by the Friends of the UW Madison Waisman Center and will be on display through January 9, 2011. The exhibit features 65 works of art in different media from many parts of the world. Paula Panczenko, executive director of Tandem Press which is organizing the display, says the collection showcases art "created by people with exceptional abilities. Creativity is a mysterious and amazing gift, and the range of artwork in this exhibit is awe-inspiring.

The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Badger Honor Flight To Return

Honor Flight Logo

The Dane County Regional Airport is pleased to announce that another Badger Honor Flight will take off October 2.  In April, thousands gathered as World War II Veterans from across southern Wisconsin were treated to a trip to Washington, D.C. to view the monuments in their honor. We look forward to another exceptional experience for these brave men and women in October.  If you know a veteran who should be included on the Badger Honor Flight, or would like to make a donation, visit the organization's web site at www.badgerhonorflight.org
